Doof Techno celebrates their first birthday after quickly becoming a favourite event in the Adelaide techno scene with numerous capacity events, quality rotation of artists, and immaculate vibes whilst filling the niche of Bush Techno and Psy Techno all with a No Phone Policy on the dancefloor.

Special guest this month is Haptic from Frisson Records performing a live cube set and a 90 minute Shamanic DJ set.

The Shaman Monster is an alter ego of the vocalist and producer Haptic. Beginning as an artistic experiment which quickly spun out of control, the Shaman Monster has become an animalistic expression of modern form ritualism. In an increasingly “enlightened” and secular world, the Shaman Monster wants to regress, and it invites you to join it. Revivify the ancient, joyously embrace the anti secular, and sink into a sonic web of ritualised techno. 

Chants, bones, drones, blood, desire, and fire- this is the musical domain of the Shaman Monster.

We shared and celebrated their lives for thousands of years this way until the dawn of computation, when we collectively started to forget. 

But the Shaman Monster remembers, and deep down, so do you.
