♛ ABOUT THE CHURCH
We asked the archbishop how he would describe the Church of Techno. He replied with, “Powerful, dark, filthy. The parties your mother warned you about.”

Pure, hypnotic, psychedelic, bush techno. Raunchy, girthy, groovy, driving, dirty, dangerously delectable music on display.
The ethos is held close to the heart: boundary pushing, hypnotic, twisted, a day of debauchery prejudice free.

Originating in the dark archways of London circa ‘07, the Church migrated to Sydney in 2010, birthing the original Sunday mass for music. Circling the CBD over Sunday afternoons and Saturday night’s under “The Techno Bug” - 2019 birthed the resurgence of the Church of Techno, growing to biblical proportions. Our beliefs shan't be squandered…

● NO TOLERANCE TO OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOURS
We operate a no tolerance to offensive behaviours policy. Prejudice is not welcome at any of our events. We are queer & POC friendly; racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of discriminating behaviour or harassment or unwanted sexual advancements are strictly not tolerated and will result in immediate exclusion from the event and blacklisting from all future Church of Techno events.
Introverts and extroverts are welcome alike, we just ask you step out of the realm of social conformity. Church of Techno is a welcoming place for all to enjoy.

In 2023 we began our CONTACT THE CREW initiative. If you are feeling safe for any reason, including but not limited to, being subject to offensive or misogynistic behaviour, seek out a Church of Techno core crew member wearing a “CREW” t-shirt and they will help you.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this venue and event are located, where we congregate and dance - the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We offer respect and thank their elders past, present and emerging for their ongoing nurturing of this land. We acknowledge that our events, and all the work we undertake occurs on stolen land and that sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
